Feels like I’m badly shaken,
In fact a little heartbroken
With tears absolutely blinding
And a pain too searing
A blow this is, I can’t survive
No matter how hard I strive
Foolish as it might seem
I wish all this was only a dream
Memories of togetherness bloom
Bringing a ray of hope amidst the gloom
Hope is magical yet so unfair
For my life’s still in pieces, beyond repair
But when the memory of his smile emerges slow,
I know, just for that, I can let go…
