Starts her day when we’re fast asleep
Listens to our thoughts, crap or deep
Can never see a person more giving
At times, she can be demanding
For her, facing life’s challenges is never dreary,
Stepping onto an escalator is very scary
Tells stories that we love to hear
Loves us more year after year
Amazing to know her emotions are driven by ours
She can watch us smile for hours
There’s a lot that we want to say
Today we’d say “Happy Birthday!”
